  1. Long ago an old man of about eighty years was working on the road breaking stones.
    Going to his work one morning he found a purse full of sovereigns on the road. He returned home as quickly as he could and told his wife the joyful news. His wife told him for his life not to say a word about it, "but Kate", says he, "some one might come looking for it and what will we do then," "I will fix that," says Kate. "Sit down there my good man and take a rest after your hard work".
