    None of the Duggans nor anyone else from Cork to Macroom & farther west since his time christened a child Malachy. Malachy belonged to the parish of Aghinagh.

    There are two townlands in the parish of Aghinagh, Ballinamorive and Rusheen.
    Some 60 years ago the P.Pat at the time was to erect a new church. The Rusheen people wanted the Church near them and the other inhabitants wanted it at Ballinamorive. The priest himself favoured Ballianmorive as the site. Any of the parishners at Rusheen would not subscribe or help in anyway. The work went ahead, and when partly up the Rusheen men pulled down the walls again. There were twelve men engaged in the destruction. The following Sunday the priest denounced them, and said God
