    Extract of garlic cures this
    Swellings or lumps. -
    A seventh son had a cure for these. The sufferer had to go fasting to the boy who was the seventh son. The latter who also should be fasting breathed on the lump to cure it.
    Styes. - Cures -
    1. Sign of the Cross made on the stye with a gold wedding ring afterwards looking through it - this for three mornings in succession and while fasting
    2. Fasting spittle rubbed to the stye is another cure.
    Rheumatism - Cure -
    1. A lotion made from nettles and known as nettle tea.
    2. Goose grease cures stiffness in the joints - applied as a blister
    3. Rock-salt
