  1. 1. Often as a child, I remember if one of us got a cut hand or toe, my grandmother went out and gathered the green leaves of an herb which the called slán lus, These she chewed in her mouth and placed on the cut to heal it.
    2. Another remedy I saw used to heal a cut or sore was a cobweb which was put right down on the cut part.
    3.The lick of a dog's tongue was another thing in which the old people believed, as a cure for a cut.
    4. A sore lip was supposed to be cured by the juice from the root of the dock leaf.
