  1. In a field in Mr. Corkery's land there is a large high hill and on top is a huge tree called Crann an Aifrinn.
    Long ago at the time of the Penal days when the priests were being hunted down by the English soldiers, and if they were caught they would be either dragged after a car, shot, hanged or burned.
    The priests said Mass everywhere they could, but were very sure to be very far in from the road because they would be caught or spied on by the soldiers or spies.
    One time there was mass said on the tree mentioned and there was a big white sheet on the top of it so that everyone would
