  1. The townland I live in is called Derryleigh. Derryleigh means the grey oak wood. There are names on some of the fields in it. One of them is called "The Old Yard. Long ago a man called Garwt Nagle had his house in this field. Another field is called "Páirc na Móna". It is said that there was a bog there once.
    Garwt Nagle had an orchard. The field where it was is still called "An Gháirdín".
    Another field is called "An Bóthar Glas", because there was an avenue there long ago. A field covered with rushes is called "Páirc na Speile".
