- There are a great number of animals on the farm such as the cow, the horse, the donkey, the calves, the sheep, the dog, the cat, the hens and ducks. We have thirteen cows at home, and some of them have got names. We have a cow which we call the Black and Tan, she is so called because she has a black head and her body is crimson with yellow stripes here and there. When we are driving them in or out of a field we say "how! how!", and when we are calling young calves home in the evening we say, suc! suc!The house in which we keep the cows is called the stall. There are five rows of bails, that is two(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
