One evening before he disappeared altogether from her he told her to tell her mother to get a 1/4 yard of cloth and to put it on the legs of his pants that they were to short and everybody was laughing at him The day following the mother took the pants off the crook in the kitchen she got a new piece of cloth and put it on the pants.
