    The names of our fields are the '' long meadow,'' the '' big meadow'', ''finane meadow,'' '' Ryan's meadow,'' ''Jimmies field'', ''the campaign field'', ''kiln field,'' ''well field,'' the ''rick field'', '' Western meadow'', and '' Kepple's Lot.''
    The long meadow was so called because it is very long and narrow.
    The big meadow so called because it is very long and broad.
    The Finane meadow was so called because very fine hay grows on it.
    Ryan's meadow so called because Mrs. Ryan's shop is built on part of it.
    Jimmie's field so called because a man named James Hourigan fenced and tilled the field. He fenced and tilled it in a fortnight which would take a month of another person. When he had the work done he said to have it be called that name, so from that day till to -day it is called Jimmie's field.
    The kiln field so called because there is a kiln built on it.
    The Campaign field so called because in the time of the agitation people used turn their cattle into it for safety.
    The well field so called because there is a spring will in which we get spring water for
