    Cast in nature's sternest mould.
    Brave and manly true and bold.
    Eagles in their mountains hold.
    Stand the Men of Meelin.
    2nd.
    Firm set as their native rock.
    Proof against the tyrants shock.
    Balfour's horse and foot they mock.
    The Gallant Men of Meelin.
    3rd.
    So when dawn's our Freedoms Day.
    What will grateful Ireland say?
    Those who kept the foe at bay.
    Were the Men of Meelin?
    4th.
    Comrades fill a brimming toast.
    Men who love their country most.
    Men who work and would not boast.
    Dashing Men of Meelin.
    5th.
    So when sound's the note of War.
    No risk will their pathway bar.
    The tyrant's peace of mind to mar.
    Come the Men of Meelin.
