  1. In most districts feast are observed in a special manner as they occur each year. Each year a number of young boys, and in some places grown-up men, gather together and go in procession from house to house with decorated bushes and masks on their faces. One of the crowd has a violin or some musical instrument and plays in the house whilst the other members dance. They the famous Wren song.
    "The Wren the Wren the king of all birds.
    On St Stephen's Day he was caught in the furze.
    Although he is little his family is great.
    Rise up landlady and give us a treat.
    If you will fill it of the small.
    It will not agree the boys atall.
    If you will fill of the best.
    I hope in heaven your soul to rest".
