  1. Mr Hurley Bawnleigh was returning home on horseback late one night. He saw an object in the dyke which seemed like a horse. His own horse refused to pass the object in the dyke, no matter how the rider coaxed him.
    He came off turned his coat inside out and put it up on the horse's back to pass the object as this is supposed to be the only means of doing so. He kept it off until he returned home and he then related the story at home to his people.
