    miles from Bandon and about one and a half miles from Upton station. Treasure is supposed to have been hidden there about one hundred yards from Ballinacurra bridge.
    What the treasure consists of is not exactly know but it is supposed to lie in a certain part of Mr Perrott's farm. People say that a fir tree once marked the spot but this has long since been cut down.
    The people of the locality maintain that one morning as the old people were going to a certain well, they found that the place had been dug up. A big stone flag was on the freshly dug earth and bits of burned out candles were strewn about, as if some people
