Tailors used go from house to house making the suits 50 years ago.

Tailors used go from house to house making the suits 50 years ago. If there was one he sat on the table. If there was a second tailor he sat on a door laid flat on the floor. The tailor used charge 6d for making an inside flannel drawers for a man and 6d for a báinín. Some men used wear a báinín going to mass. Others used wear knee breeches, low shoes, long stockings, swallow tail coat and 3/4 hat. William O'Driscoll and his brother Michael of Burren still wear a báinín working ever day.
