When passing a remark on crops or cattle in this locality it is still customary to say "God bless them".

When passing a remark on crops or cattle in this locality it is still customary to say "God bless them" If a person does not say it he is supposed to be "overlooking" the thing remarked on. If the omission is very noticeable and if the cattle pine or get sick afterwards that man is sent for to say "God Bless them" to remove the "overlook" still.
