  1. There is a big rock in John Lordan’s farm in Liscroneen near Ballineen and at the side of this rock is a middling sized square rock on which Mass was said in Penal days. A cross is deeply carved into this square rock. Mrs Lordan the mother of the present owner was one day walking near the rock and she found a large bell covered with rust. She put it up on the rock and when she went to the place after a few days the bell was not there.
