    Local Place Names
    Stories connected with the place names mentioned on page 22 are as follows.
    "Carrigscullihy" in the downland of that name, in the parish of St. Edmunds and in the barony of East Division of West Carbery, gets its name from a split rock. During the time of the flood Noah's ark was supposed to have struck the rock and the language used by "Ham" one of the sons of Noah was so forcible it split the rock.
