  1. The landlords that were living in this districts were Hull and his followers and Henry Sweetman and his followers. They were very hard in the people. It was then the road outside there and other roads were made. They had the men working for them, and eight pence a day each got, or a gallon of yellow meal.
    He carried home the meal, and his wife, himself and his children made yellow meal gruel out of it. That is all they had to rear them, and a lot of them died with hunger. Hull's descends are all gone, but Henry Sweetman's are remaining. They are called Luke's, and they are living in Cove.
    One day a little boy went eating green stalks and potatoes out of a field in Henry's with hunger. Henry caught him, and cracked his
