  1. Cuts -: In order to cure cuts tobacco was cut up into small thin pieces and placed on the cut. A clean bandage was tied around it until the wound healed.
    Nettles -: The water of boiled nettles was counted a great cure for colds, and chest trouble.
    Nose Bleed -: When a nose began to bleed, the cold key of a door was placed on the persons back to stop the bleeding.
    Sore throat -: When people felt their throats getting sore they usually heated bran and put it to their throats as hot as they could bear it in a stocking.
    Eczema -: To cure eczema and skin diseases, the bark of the birch tree was boiled and the water was drank.
    Neuralgia -: people who suffered from neuralgia
