- (continued from previous page)Flynn was in the poor house and every evening he asked "how are dead" and they used tell him hundreds were dead and he used say "too bad too bad" by that he meant there weren't enough dead.
- The games we play are the Frog Jump, Chasing, Goals, Scalping, Three Legged Race, Hop Step and Jump, High Jump, Whacking, Pitching stones, Skating, Snow balling, Bowling, Hide and Seek, Foxes and Hounds.
The way we play foxes and hounds is that some of the boys run and more hunt. There is a certain spot marked out for the foxe's den.---------------------------------------------------------
On St Stephen's Day some boys have the game of the wren. They get a branch of holly and they dress it with coloured papers and ribbons. Then they go getting the wren and kill the little bird and they hang the bird to a little sprig of the big branch. Then they prepare old torn clothes and put(continues on next page)- Collector
