  1. There are two forts in Ballybawn, they are situated about a quarter of a mile from each other. The lower one is known as Lisavoher and the upper one is known as Lisabogy also known as Lisaborth.
    It is said that there is a crock of gold hidden in Lisavoher with two fierce dogs minding it. There are lights seen in Lisavoher every Hallowe'en at midnight.
    I heard this from my father. My own name is John Barry, Ballybawn, Ballydehob County, Cork. October 28th 1937

    Tom was very clever and he used be playing tricks on Jack Jack was very shy. It was dinner
