  1. There is an old road going to Ballydehob and one night as my father was coming from there he happened to pass by an old bridge about four miles on this side of Ballydehob.
    It was an evening in the month of November when darkness approaches early. He noticed a white object on the road in the form of a sheet and it kept before him until he came to the next bridge which was about two miles a part further on the road. It then disappeared into a valley beside the river.
