  1. The principal wheat growing countries are Russia, Egypt, Argentine and the United States of America. On Ireland we do not grow sufficient wheat to supply the needs the needs of our own country so we have to buy it from other countries.
    The most common grain crops grown around this district are oats and wheat. Wheat may be sown in Winter or in Spring but special wheat is sown at each time. The ground is first ploughed up. Then it is harrowed to break the lumps and after this the seed is scattered. It is
