  1. There are many islands on Lough Ree some of which have historical connections. Inish Cloitrinn has a great fame because it was on that Island Queen Maeve was killed. In the Summer while she was visiting her sister she was bathing in the lake when one of her enemies saw her and he slew a stone at her and killed her.
    There was also a church on that Island and about a hundred years ago a man pulled stones out of this church to build a cabin for his horse and the horse went mad. There is also
