    The cat lies on the hearth with his back towards the fire. The dog eats the grass. The hens run into their coop while the ducks stay out and quack loudly.
    Persons suffering from corns or rheumatism know when rain is near because their pain increases.
    If the dust begins to rise on the roadway it is a sign that rain is near. Insects are to be seen crawling on roads, fields and paths when rain is coming. The flies fly about in a cluster when rain is near.
