A tramp when crossing the railway next day looked up and saw the lovely new pair of boots. He took them down took off his won torn pair and hung them up instead.
After about three days the father returned to the railway to see if the boots had gone to his son. When he saw the old pair he though that the new pair had gone and that his son had sent home the old boots to let the father see how bad they were.
