To meet a Black Cat; a red haired man; If a person comes in to a house when churning is going on he is supposed to turn the handle for Luck. Bad Luck.. Ifa Picture fall it is supposed to be the omen of a near Death. To meet a red-haired woman or a white cat the first thing in the morning. To go under an open Umbrella in the house. To go under a Ladder. To see one Magpie. To break a mirror. Ifa Picture fall. To meet an empty Hearse. To dream of a Wedding. To be born at Whitsuntide. To see a Rat. To wear green. To hear a Hen crowing. If a "'lone bush" is interfered with. Sometimes one tree grows in the centre of a field suffered to mark a grave.
