  1. The feet especially need great care. It is right to wash them every night. Most of the people nowadays suffer from 'corns'. All the children were barefooted long ago in Winter and Summer. They never wore a boot or a shoe until they reached about the age of twenty.
    The shoes were made in every district long ago. There was a man in this parish named John Brooks who made shoes formerly. He lived in Ballygeata and is now deceased. His son Joe Brooks mends shoes nowadays. There was a man by the name of Malachy Keogh of Culmore who is supposed to have made shoes. He is
