   Barren earth was given to cattle that had eaten poison roots. SCOUR in cattle was cured by giving yellow meal porridge. For calves, boiled milk sweetened with sugar, tanzy tea, or breadsoda were given. When a cow had the "FOIR-LAOGH" she was rubbed with salt. SORE UDDERS were rubbed with buttermilk For a SICK CALF, "cleas na péiste" was done over his back nine times on each of nine mornings. MAGGOTS in sheep. Salt, soot, and urine were given. DISTEMPER.
