  1. The local landlord for Dreenlomane was Lord Bandon. He was a good landlord. There were three evictions carried out in the locality. A regiment of soldiers came to help the bailifs. They had twenty-one grey horses and the riders wore high steel hats. Huts were built for the evicted people. There was a hut built for Tady Hayes in Mr Roycroft's ground of Mount Gabriel. He afterwards emigrated to America with his family. After about six months the others were reinstated into their homes. This place was divided into farms by Mr. Skuce, an agent of Lord Bandon, of Durrus.
