    which to baptise them he discovered there was none available.
    Raising his staff he struck a rock which was nearly and at one a fountain of water gushed up and formed- three wells. Hence the name Fuarán - a spring.
    With this Heavenly aid he baptised the people. Setting to work he established a church and monastery and when compelled by force of his duties to leave the place he left. St Ceitheach to take up duty. Our school is named after him.
    The three wells formed by the fountain are still intact and never dry while a stream of water flows from them.
