    Adjacent to the Roscommon Castlerea road about mid-way between Oran and Ballymacurley Post Offices lies the little village of Runnabracken or as it is literally translated in English the "Badger's Divisions".
    Formerly this was a rather historic hamlet and even to the present day are the seven forts where a cow appeared and supplied the poor residents of the place with
