could but shiver "That is all I can do" said the farmer. The boy set out on the road as wise as he was before. He came to a house where there were three men. There was big snow and frost. And when he went in to the house he said "if I could but shiver" Wait and I will soon make you shiver" said one of the men. He brought in a bucket of cold water. "Strip off your clothes" said he and he spilt the water down over him and he began to shiver. "O now I know what shivering means."said the boy.
