    afterwards completed under the protection of a military guard. A few days before the formal opening of the church, it was knocked a second time in the presence of the guard some of whom had a narrow escape from the falling walls.
    The project was afterwards abandoned and a Protestant Church was later erected near the Kilgefin Catholic Graveyard the ruins of which are still to be seen.
