- (continued from previous page)After this there was flour shook on the cloth and then it was left on a flag until it was quite firm. The candle was put into a wooden candle-stick suited for the purpose.
- Ropes were manufactured in this townland also long ago. The people used to get rods of deal trees and beat them well until they were flattened out like long thin strings. These they plaited together until they had a nice thick rope made.
