- When my father was a young boy flax growing was common through out the country. Some of the small farmers sold the raw flax to Flax dealers.
Some of the most extensive Flax dealers had mills of their own for breaking and combing and preparing it for spinning and they used to sell it to the linen mills in Belfast.
Some of the small farmers kept their flax and made their own linen and it had to go through several processes of which I will(continues on next page) - Collector
