    Old Sayings.
Time and tide wait for no man.
A bird in the (bush) hand is worth two in the bush.
All that glitters is not gold.
    Practice makes perfect.
    Deep water runs smooth.
    Distant hills are green.
Out of sight is out of mind.
Its a long lane that has no turn.
Sense does not come before age.
You can't put an old head on a young body.
Its never too late to learn.
Don't take the book by the cover.
Live horse and you'll get grass.
Ill-wind that does not favour someone.
The politer the thief the more genteel.\A rolling stone gathers no moss.
People in glass-houses should not throw stones.
Birds of one feather flock together.
Spare the rod and spoil the child.
    Eaten bread is soon forgotten.
There is many a stumble from the cradle to the grave.
A stitch in time saves nine.
Don't drown a shipload for one.
Rise with the lark, with him to bed.
Rome was not built in a day.
