Ere chiefs of old neath green and gold, led clansmen to the fight And gave deep graves to foreign knaves who dared dispute their rights To rule, to live, to make and give our fathers on the soil Pure Irish laws within our cause "Beannacht leath" past days in Boyle. (III) Farewell, dear ruined Abbey thy pride of days gone by Thy grand majestic form once proud erect and high. Now stand thy, lofty gables still battling with the years
