  1. In the penal times Mass used to be said at Kilmactranny cross-roads. There is a stone still at the spot and it contains a hole where the holy water used to be kept. There is always some water in the hole of the stone since, and the place has been called Corrigeenboy.
    There also used to be Mass said in Lug in County Sligo. The track of the priest's knees where he knelt on the rock may be seen still.
    This place is about two miles from Ballyfarnon, and is on the right hand side of the road leading from Ballyfarnon to Kilmactranny.
