  1. SHANABALLY or Old Town is situated about two miles South of Clopoke, was an ancient place of interment.
There is a large Mountain flag-stone, on which is traced the device of a Celtic Cross.
The rest of the Stone is left rough. Local tradition assigns the stone to mark the grave of a Bishop.
This place is locally known as "Kavanagh's Rath" -

Not far to the west is a place known locally as "Geata Bán"

At a little distance to the east of this is the Tilery Road - where once a Tilery Factory was in full working order.
