MICHAELMASS DAY; The old people believe that it is not right to eat blackberries after Michaelmass Day because the fairies do their dirt on them that night. ST,BRIDGID'S DAY; St.Bridgid's Day is another festival. When the people are going to bed they put out a scarf or a cloth and St. Bridgid is supposed to bless them and that they will cure ailments such as earaches or toothaches.
