Rotten hatching eggs at the beginning of the year...

Rotten hatching eggs at the beginning of the year are a terrible unlucky sign. If a dog cries it is a sign or death.
If a pass a clothes -pin on the road with the point towards you, Pass on. If the head is towards you pick it up and you will have good luck.
