  1. Most of the travelling folk travelled on foot, while others had a pony and an old van. They had certain houses for visiting. When they went in the people had a great welcome for them. They gave them tea and then the travellers told stories and news. They also sang old songs.
The people erected a place beside the fire for them to sleep. They stayed there until morning, then they got their breakfast and began on the next day's journey.
