  1. People had three meals a day in olden times breakfast, dinner and supper. People worked in the morning before food. The dinner was taken at midday and supper was taken in the evening after their work. Potatoes and salt were the principal food at each meal. Buttermilk and newmilk were used. Cakes were made from oaten meal and water. It was put on a griddle and baked on red turf.People sat round the table wick was in the centre of the floor. The table was hung up on the wall meals.No cloth
