    Old woman at Creave told me Lough Égish mares and foals were put out to graze and little fairy mares came up out of Cleave Lake and fed along with them and that was supposed to insure good luck.

    Long ago the wheelwrights left home spinning wheels at a place called Black (?) Mullahone (?) - a man was leaving home (?) spring wheel - crowd of white horses met him, every one said - How are you Jack - He got a great fright and went back home .

    James McLean of Tallendonagh (?) was coming home from attending sick horse from Drumacaslin - came down an old lane as near cut - and little old woman was sitting in ditch long faced - he spoke, no answer
