    Once upon a time there lived three big sisters in a great big house. Mary the oldest of the three was the house keeper. One day she went for a walk and had not gone far when she met two tramps looking for alms.

    Once upon a time there lived three sisters in a great big house. Mary the oldest of the three was the house keeper. One day she went for a walk and she had not gone far when she met two tramps looking for alms. When she was handing them some money they saw her bulky purse and she had a valuable ring on her finger and they robbed her of both and struck her with a heavy stick and left her unconscious on the road.
