    plainly furnished though of a cheerful appearance. Within the unrestored enclosure are a number of ancient tombs.
    St Johns seems to be the most lonely in Kilkenny considering its former days. For now very little is left to attract the sight-seer and in ordanary days its ivy-hung walls and broken bits of sculpture tell many tails, that their curious explores hurry out into busy John Street to forget them.
