  1. Long ago the people used to make many different cakes of Bread. They used to make potatoe cake Oaten Bread yellow meal bread whole-meal bread potatoe cake. When the potatoes were too big They used to break the potatoes and make cakes with them. There were mill stones in every district and the people used to grind there own bit of oats in the night time. A curran cake was made at Christmas and Easter.
