- Cures for sore throat, cuts, burns, warts, colds, measles, corns, boils.
A cure for sore throat is to put hot salt in a stocking and tie it on your neck.
Cure for cuts is to get a lick of a dog's tongue on the cut.
Cure for burns is to put soda on it.
Warts to put a snail on it, and stick a thorn through him. When the snail is dead the warts are supposed to be gone.
Colds - to get a hot drink of milk or a drink of rum. Measles to drink sheeps milk. Corns - Salty water to pare the corn and let the salty water into it and do it for a couple of nights. Boils - a poultice of linseedmeal.
