  1. In Loch na Garrdha wood Brownsbarn bridge in the parish of Thomastown Co. Kilkenny, it is said that there is money hidden. It is supposed that Freaney the robber hid it there. He stuck his sword down in the ground along side of the money so that he could find it when he returned. But when he went to find it he could not get it. It is also said that he could see the sword from a hill near by and when he went to the wood he could not find it.
